Brunching in the Finger Lakes

If there’s one thing we love about weekends (besides the time off from work!), it’s brunch. Sunday brunch is the perfect way to cap off an amazing weekend or to kickstart a great week ahead. Good food and drink, plenty of conversation, and a leisurely pace -- who could ask for more?

There are several great Sunday brunch spots near our FLX vacation properties that you’ll love as part of your stay.

Mimosa Flight at Landon's

 Brunch at a Bar: Landon’s

Located in Watkins Glen, this local favorite dive bar is best known for pizza, wings, and pub fare also serves a fantastic brunch! The changing brunch specials range from chicken and waffles and fresh frittatas to breakfast burritos and caramel macchiato French toast. The drinks are fabulous too, with a full bar and local craft beers, but their Bloody Mary is the best!

Brunch on the Water: Lucky Hare Bar & Grill

Also located in Watkins Glen right on Seneca Lake, this brunch spot has views that are to die for -- and we haven’t even talked about the food yet! Lucky Hare has crowd-pleasing salads, burgers, waffles, bagels, biscuits and more to suit your brunch tastes. Be sure to try one of their 10 specially brewed beers on tap or sip on a mimosa or gin and tonic with the best gin from FLX Distilling, Seneca Drums!

Brunch at a Winery (or Two!): Ryan William Vineyard and Red Newt

Make the most of your day and plan to pop into not one but two wineries to enjoy their brunch experiences. Ryan William Vineyard in Burdett and Red Newt in Hector are just a short drive away from each other and offer fabulous food and drinks. Ryan William Vineyard has a delicious, farm-to-table selection of brunch dishes ranging from brioche French toast to fish and chips while Red Newt is known for their incredible grilled cheese sandwiches. Have a glass (or two!) at each stop before continuing on your wine tour of the Finger Lakes.

Brunch Along the Wine Trail: Here

In Hector, you’ll find Here., an amazing brunch spot that showcases products from local producers like Muddy Fingers Farm, Crosswinds Farm and Creamery, and Seneca Sunrise Coffee, just to name a few! You can eat outside here on picnic tables during the summer, dine in (there are only a few tables) or take your brunch to go. Their brunch menu is all about elevated brunch classics and comfort food, (we love their BBQ, caesar salad, and focaccias, just to name a few) so bring a hearty appetite -- it’s not to be missed!

After your stay with us, be sure to tell us all about which restaurants you tried and your favorite dishes. We always love hearing from our guests about their dining experiences around Seneca Lake!
