The FLX Waterfall House

Say hello to our newest and most convenient vacation rental in the Finger Lakes, the FLX Waterfall House! If you like to stay where all the action is, then this is the house for you!

The FLX Waterfall House is centrally located, bordering the quaint village of Montour Falls with the lively hub of southern Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen, and within 3 miles from your front door are 20 waterfalls and the Catharine Valley Trail for dog walking, snowshoeing and biking along the canal. 

A mid-1950's lake town bungalow that we renovating from top to bottom, we love this home for it's location (you're only minutes to everything) and that it has it's own private path to a 90' waterfall, Aunt Sarah's Falls along with a small waterfall directly on the property for you to sit by at night while you roast smores around the firepit and listen to the water trickling down. 

A 2 bedroom house with 2 king beds, you're only 2 miles from the magnificent Watkins Glen State Park with it's 19 waterfalls and only 2 miles to Havana Glen where you can swim under a waterfall. The stunning Shequaga Falls is less than a mile away and it's on the same street, so it's a great walk down and back.  

Heading to the track for a race? Watkins Glen International, home to NASCAR and IMSA racing, is only 5 miles away for you to get the front seat look at some of the best car racing in the country! Dining, shopping and the base of Seneca Lake is only 2.5 miles away and this is where you can hop on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail.

  • the waterfall house: Originally a lake town cottage known to be home of local fishing legend, this quaint bungalow was built in the mid-1950's. Renovated with modern amenities and lakeside charm, the 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is convenient to both Watkins Glen and Montour Falls. 

  • the location: the Waterfall House is all about convenience and being close to everything. Within 3 miles, there are over 20 substantial waterfalls and many small ones along the way. Walk the path to Aunt Sarah's Falls, it's right on the edge of the property or stroll down Genesee St. to the magnificent Shequaga Falls as it roars from above. You are minutes from the start of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, the Watkins Glen State Park, and the Watkins Glen International Racetrack. Want to head over to Ithaca or the Cayuga Lake wine trail, it's just a short 30-minute drive.

  • the kitchen: a 100% black kitchen with butcher block countertops and a wooden ceiling, this moody kitchen has everything you need to cook with locally grown foods from the many farms near us.  

  • the morning wake area: we love good coffee and good tea. You will find everything you need for a great cup. Complimentary locally roasted organic beans from Seneca Sunrise Coffee and a fine selection of organic teas are waiting for you. The Waterfall House has a drip coffee machine, a grinder, and a water kettle. Coffee lovers, we've got you covered.

  • the living & dining room: are combined with ease for lounging, dining or listening to tunes on the Marshall speakers. Smart TV is also here and available to stream your favorite media. 
  • the bathroom: there is one full bathroom at the Waterfall House. A full walk-in glass shower and fluffy towels are here for you to use. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and make-up remover for your convenience.

  • the bedrooms: when we travel, a cozy bedroom with a comfortable bed is a must for us and that is what you will get here. 2 large bedrooms with a king bed in each. Each bed is made by Casper, the super comfortable memory foam bed adored by celebrities...and us! Plenty of pillows and warm blankets so you can relax and unwind with ease.

  • the decor: we wanted to be a little bolder with this renovation so we leaned into the moody blacks and warm acorn woods. With its bungalow feel and lakeside vibes, we added in some nautical themes of sailboats and fishing, a nod to Danielle's grandfather. His vintage reels, rods and hooks adorn the walls in the largest bedroom. In the second bedroom, we couldn't forget the racing history of Watkins Glen, so that room has some authentic memorabilia from the race track that brings you back in time. 

  • the amenities: we provide a Brita water filter, snacks and locally roasted organic coffee with each stay. You will also find shampoo, conditioner and body wash for your use. Freshly laundered linens and bathroom towels are provided.

  • technology: Working remotely? The Waterfall House has strong fiber-optic wifi, and a smart TV. 

  • the outdoor space: the Waterfall House has a private wooded area with a fire pit and wooden benches to enjoy right next to the house. The other side of the house has a gas grill and large picnic table for outdoor grilling. Head to Holy Cow Meat Market & Deli to get some great steaks and upstate NY famous, spiedies!
