Make the Most of Your FLX Bachelorette Weekend

Congratulations! The date is set and you’re just about to walk down the aisle! But before you take that next step, it’s time to celebrate and surround yourself with those you love to have an unforgettable bachelorette weekend. Pop the champagne and toast to the future, bride-to-be! You deserve it!

If you’re planning your bachelorette party (or if you’re a MoH working on bachelorette plans!) in the Finger Lakes and need some inspiration, we’ve got you covered. We’ve put together some recommendations on how to make the most of the time you’re here while having a blast during this special weekend. It’s a no-stress and most of all, fun, itinerary that we have in mind.

Ready? Let’s go!

bachelorette party in the Finger Lakes

Arrive in the Finger Lakes mid-morning (think 10:00 a.m.ish) and kick off your bachelorette weekend with wine tastings at some of the most fun spots in the Finger Lakes. From south to north on the east side of Seneca Lake, be sure to check out:

  • Ryan William Vineyard (great lunch and brunch too)
  • Leidenfrost (super fun winetenders)
  • Hector Wine Co. (check out their local food market inside the winery)
  • Hazlitt (don’t miss out on their outdoor space, The Oasis, with lounge tables, picnic tables, cornhole and hotdogs!)

If you don’t mind the drive, Three Brothers is worth a visit -- just make sure to make it your first stop so that there’s plenty of time to enjoy the other fun wineries you’ve got planned! Speaking of driving, make sure you’ve got a DD in place or you can learn more about driver services around Seneca Lake.

bachelorette party visiting breweries around Seneca Lake

Insider tip: Breweries around Seneca Lake are open later than the wineries so they’re good to add into your itinerary later in the day. It’s always a good idea to start with wine and end with beer ;)

From the east side of Seneca Lake from south to north, then you’ll want to check out these must-visit breweries:

  • Solera Tap House (a fabulous bar with local beer, seasonal fresh fruit slushies, and great cocktails!)
  • Grist Iron (gorgeous lake views and outdoor seating and they have great grub)
  • Two Goats (awesome decks for lake views)
  • Scale House (check out their outdoor pavilion for live music)
  • Lucky Hare (our favorite beer on the eastside of Seneca)

These stops should keep you and your crew occupied until dinnertime when they start to wind down (but don’t worry about lunchtime -- there are light bites and nibbles to enjoy between tastings, too!).

Once you’re ready to really dig in to a great meal, here are some of our favorite spots to take your bachelorette party for dinner in downtown Watkins Glen:

If you’d rather stay on the wine and brewery trail around dinner time, no worries! We’ve got you covered. You can visit Stonecat Cafe for farm-to-table dishes that celebrate the best ingredients the region has to offer, Grist Iron Brewing for casual American food and a stunning lake view with lots of outdoor tables. Prefer live music? Scale House Brewery has pizza and great entertainment!

toasting the bride to be

Retire to your Seneca Lake vacation rental and get a good night’s sleep! It’ll be off to breakfast in the morning (Blue Pointe Grill, The Blackberry Inn Kitchen, and Tobey’s Donut Shop are all Watkins Glen standards) followed by any winery or brewery stops you didn’t get to hit on day one.
